Swimming Pool

Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic method first taught by Hippokrates. The swimming pool helps children who suffer from cerebral palsy, myopathy or other motor problems to move in a way that they can't outside the swimming pool. The water provides resistance to the movements, assists movements and supports the body, while the hydrostatic pressure provides tactile stimulation.

The swimming pool is a protected environment where the child feels secure, without the fear of falls.

Finally, it is important to stress that the water is a very pleasant medium of intervention where children are concerned.
